Janine Steele has over a dozen years experience in the Canadian Media Industry. She currently manages production and operations of the NFB Digital Studio at the National Film Board of Canada. Her team has created the pioneering interactive documentaries Circa 1948, Seven Digital Deadly Sins, Bear 71, Welcome to Pinepoint and more (visit nfb.ca/interactive.) Janine’s work has received dozens of awards including a Cannes Cyber Lion, FWA Site of the Year 2012 and four Webby Awards (Oscars of the Internet). Prior to the NFB, Janine was a Business Analyst with the Canadian funding agency Creative BC / BC Film where she was instrumental in establishing digital and interactive media funding programs for both traditional filmmakers and new media makers.
