 Telefilm Canada is a federal cultural agency dedicated to the development and promotion of the Canadian audiovisual industry. Creative BC is an independent, not-for-profit society established by the BC government in 2013. UBC Continuing Studies, (University of British Columbia): Award-winning and innovative Digital Strategy and Media programs developed and taught by industry thought leaders, and for professionals and entrepreneurs in the digital space.

The Independent Production Fund was established in 1991 as a private Foundation with an endowment now valued at $32 M from Maclean Hunter Ltd. The revenues generated by the endowment and recoupment from investments are used to support the production of Canadian drama series. The Web Drama Series Program was undertaken as an experimental project in 2010. The program has been extended indefinitely and to date has invested over $7 million dollars into 70 series for the web.
